Agenda: Assembly Conference Announces Jaden Smith as Keynote

Agenda, Capsule, and Liberty Fairs will host the first-ever Assembly, a conference designed to educate, inspire, and entertain its community of retailers, brands, and influencers, on February 12th & 13th at the Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas. Assembly is a special series featuring incredible keynote speakers, panels, intimate workshops, and resource specialists dedicated to innovating manufacturing, business solutions, and forward-thinking solutions.  This year’s keynote speakers include some of the most iconic names in fashion and leading business innovators; among them is fashion icon, actor, musician, designer and songwriter Jaden Smith

Jaden Smith is a fashion icon, actor, and musician. He made his big screen acting debut in “The Pursuit of Happyness” in 2006 starring alongside his father, and later won an MTV Movie Award in 2007 for “Breakthrough Performance”. Other film credits include "The Day the Earth Stood Still," the box office hit "The Karate Kid", and "After Earth." On November 17, 2017 Jaden released his debut album Syre and next up, Jaden will star in the upcoming film “Life in a Year” opposite Cara Delevingne.   Jaden is also a co-founder of JUST Impact – a 501c3 focused on galvanizing direly needed early-stage funding for clean tech startups mitigating climate change.  

This first edition of Assembly brings a heightened community experience to the shows while promoting storytelling in a design-driven environment. Assembly will take place on the show floor from 10am – 6pm on both days. Smith will discuss how he and select other keynote speakers touch so many different categories with their work, from design, to music, to art, to retail, to film, to fashion. He’ll also discuss his own projects and how he continually innovates, how he finds inspiration, and his favorite moments of his career thus far.

The other Assembly keynote speakers include Ronnie Fieg (Founder and Creative Director, KITH), Doug Palladini (Global Brand President, Vans), Harley Finkelstein (COO, Shopify), Jeff Rosenthal (Co-founder, Summit), and Tobias Reiss Schmidt (President and CEO, Timex).

Assembly will also feature live podcast tapings featuringGroup Chat” w/ Dee Murthy, Co-founder of Five Four Group and Young & Reckless along with Chris “Drama” Pfaff. Founder & Creative Director of Staple Design, Jeff Staple will debut his new podcast “Business of Hype” along with special guests. Guests will also enjoy panel presentations featuring industry notables on-hand to share insights from their brands and experiences, and lend advice on how to tackle issues and obstacles facing the industry today. Entrance to the conference is free for all show attendees, with tickets available to purchase for the general public. General admission starts at $150 for a 1-day keynote event including happy hour & access to all show floors, or $300 for a 2-day ticket package, or $400 Full Access to all three shows, plus Assembly workshops, panels, and the main keynote event.
